John E. Odum California Licensed Investigator Certified PCSOT Examiner

John Odum, founder of Cuesta Polygraph, has over 30 years of criminal and civil investigation experience.  John has conducted polygraph exams for federal, state and local Law Enforcement agencies, as well as for sexual offender treatment providers and attorneys. He is certified by the American Polygraph Association as a Post Conviction Sexual Offender Polygraph Examiner (PCSOT). John is a retired California Police Officer. In addition, he spent over 15 years as a corporate investigator where he handled cases involving theft, embezzlement, fraud, sexual harassment and workplace violence. John has a proven track record of resolving cases and recovering assets. John served as the Chair of the Law and Justice Committee for the San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury. He is a Board Member of the San Luis Obispo County Former Grand Juror’s Association where he conducts background pre-screening interviews for Grand Jurors. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of Marston Polygraph Academy, an accredited polygraph institute recognized by the American Polygraph Association. He has completed advanced training in forensic interviewing and investigation. He is a Licensed California Investigator. Polygraph examinations are conducted utilizing validated techniques and in accordance with current guidelines established by the American Polygraph Association and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International.
